Bylas District

Bylas District is located in Bylas, Arizona. It is the most eastern district of the San Carlos Apache Tribe and lies in the basin of Mt. Turnbull.

Population
It is home to about 3,568 residents. The name derives from chief Baylish or also known as Bylas. It is roughly 30 miles from the Town of Safford, 117 miles from the City of Mesa, and 140 miles from the City of Tucson. All acreage of this district resides in Graham County, Arizona.
Enterprise
The District Enterprise consists of the Mt. Turnbull Apache Market, The Wickiup Grill, Yucca Laundromat, and various property management suites. Recreational activities include: gym, softball field, and fishing near the Gila River. Small unestablished trails for hiking are along Mt. Turnbull and access to a scenic route leading to Coolidge Dam.
